During this uncertain time in our lives, we are so thankful for the body of Christ who has surrounded us with love and support. It reminds us so much of the stories found in the book of Acts where time and again Paul experienced God’s provision from different people whom he met along his travels. And since we are talking about ‘travels’ let me update you as to where we are when it comes to returning to PNG.
In our last update, we asked you to pray for the myriad of logistical details that need to fall into place for us, and other missionaries, to be able to head back to PNG. Well, we are happy to say that most if not all of those details have been sorted out. Now that being said, the first group of people has yet to start their journey so we would ask that you continue to pray for this whole process. As we all know, life during this time of Covid is anything but stable much less predictable.
Provided that the first groups of missionaries are able to safely and successfully travel back to PNG then we should be able to head back in August. There are a fair few details that have to be sorted out so please be praying for us as we work through our to-do list. One of the changes for us is that we will be taking a totally different route back. We have tickets booked though they aren’t paid for yet. The downside for us is that these new tickets will add one 13 hr flight to our trip and cost just over $3K more than our previous tickets. Neither one of those realities puts a smile on our faces but it will certainly give us opportunities to trust the Lord.
As you can imagine we will have plenty to keep us busy over the next several weeks. Besides packing and cleaning, we will also need to get Covid tests for the family. We have a couple of options here locally so we should be able to get this scheduled for the appropriate time. Please pray for the boys as they are not looking forward to this. Well, I am not either if I’m honest. And of course, pray that the tests come back negative.
We’ll leave it at that for now. Lord willing we will send off another note before we travel. Thanks again for your prayers and interest in our lives and ministry.
In Him,
Eric and Judith, Stephen, Daniel and Timothy

Prayer/Praise
- Pray for the Amdu and Wantakia tribes in PNG. They are in the midst of the initial evangelistic teaching. Pray specifically that the Spirit of God will open their hearts and minds to the truth of the Gospel. You can also pray for the Pei tribe as they just finished the teaching and now there are about 15 new believers.
- Praise that we have had good health. Pray also that are results from our upcoming COVID tests are negative.
- Pray for us as we get ready to say our goodbyes. This transition back to PNG has been much delayed but has come upon us rather suddenly. It never gets any more enjoyable.
- Pray for wisdom as we pack our bags and sort through the items we are leaving here in the US.
- Pray for the added finances for our plane tickets and for our regular support. We are still lacking a bit over $1000/month.
