There are some aspects of life here in PNG that can be challenging. The day we left Stephen at school and traveled back to PNG was one of them. The Lord has watched over him these last two years and just last Monday afternoon he was able to arrive back home to Goroka. The trip back was not without some drama but the Lord did some amazing things on the journey. Now we are getting caught up again and having great family time.

Daniel finished up school last Friday and Timothy finishes today. The graduation ceremony is this evening and then the celebration begins. We are very proud of Daniel and the man that he is becoming. I have attached a video of his testimony that he gave last Sunday in church. We are looking forward to seeing where the Lord takes him in the coming years.

Of late we have been working to pack and clean up the house, get ready for our trip into Malaumanda and then back to the States. We are also working through our schedule for the summer. Shortly after we get back to Oregon, we will travel up to Abbotsford to visit Judith’s family and friends and supporters there. That visit will only be a bit longer than a week as we need to continue our travels down to California. We will be in various parts of California for the whole month of July so if you have some time and want to get together for a lunch or dinner then please let us know and we’ll see when we are traveling through your part of the state. We’ll be virtually everywhere.

We are trusting the Lord to have a great Malaumanda Bible dedication next week Tuesday and look forward to what the Lord is going to do there. Hopefully we’ll have a video and some stories to share as we meet up with churches and supporters in the coming months.

In Him,

Prayer & Praise

  • Praise that Stephen is back with us for a visit
  • Pray for us as we are in the midst of a huge transition. uprooting the family from PNG and traveling to the US is not easy or fun.
  • Pray for the boys as they will be trusting the Lord for what is next for them. Daniel will be looking to get some experience in various forms of carpentry. Timothy will be doing online school in the fall and Stephen will be back at Moody to start his next semester of school soon after our return.
  • Praise that the Lord has provided a vehicle for us to use at least through the summer. This is a huge blessing to me as I have been planning our summer travels by faith as we had no way to get around.
  • Pray for the Bible dedication. The Bibles are now in Malaumanda and we trust that this coming dedication will be a celebration of what God has done.
  • Pray for us as we travel back. Specifically pray for our domestic flight to Port Moresby late next week. It has been rather hard to predict when flights will be canceled of late.
  • Pray for our transition back to the US. We will have a lot to do in a short period of time. AAA cards, Costco cards, cell phone service, and replacement clothing are all on our to-do list.
  • Pray for some time of refreshment for us as we have been pushing pretty hard over the last several months.
  • Pray also for the Lapilo center where we live and work. There are some significant ‘holes’ that need to be filled. For instance, we still haven’t found someone to take on my role as center manager. Please ask the Lord of the Harvest to send workers to this field.
