We are traveling around California and connecting with supporters and churches.
We label our updates “Hedeen’s Journey” though this month is should be “Hedeen’s Road Trip”. We are about 3K miles into our trip through California and we are aware of the many ways that the Lord has provided and protected us during our travels. We have been on windy mountain roads, long boring stretches, survived SoCal driving (except for the rock strike on our windshield), and enjoyed nearly daily trips to visit friends and supporters. For all of you who have housed, fed and encouraged us- THANK YOU. God’s goodness through His people has been amazing.
The last time that we went on this sort of road trip was 2019. So much has changed since then. We only have Timothy with us at present while the other two are in school. Actually Timothy is in school as well. Our plan was that he would do his online schooling while we drive and so far that has worked out fairly well. On some of our longer drives he has done a couple of days. That being said, he will be glad to get off the road and start into a more normal routine.
Once we are off the road then hopefully we’ll be able to connect a bit more with people in the Pacific Northwest. We look forward to connecting with as many of you as we can.

Prayer & Praise
- Praise that Judith and I are able to be here in the US and travel around to see friends and supporters.
- Praise/Pray for safety during our road trip. We still have a long day driving up to Idaho followed by another drive to Spokane before we head back to Oregon.
- Pray for us as we communicate all that God is doing in Malaumanda, and PNG in general.
- Also Pray for us as focus on partnership development in our travels. We are trusting Him to see our support brought back up to a healthy level again.
- Pray for Daniel and Stephen as they are in classes. Both of them desire to serve the Lord in PNG which is exciting.
- Pray for the Malaumanda church, and Pastor Jim specifically, as the continue the outreach in Minini and the teaching of the school kids in Malaumanda.
- Pray for the Lord to raise up more leaders within the Malaumandan church.
- Pray for Judith and I to find a good balance between ministry speaking opportunities, Malaumanda ministry projects and family life.
- Pray for Timothy and his online schooling.
- Praise for the Subaru Legacy that we are driving. Pray for our Jetta. I am going to be spending a bit of time looking at it once we get off the road.
- Pray for Judith and I as we attempt to find a time and place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
