Earlier this month we wrote to let you know that the first application for Judith’s green card had been approved. We do have some more to share about in this regard.
When we received our first approval the notification stated that it would take a minimum of 45 days for the next batch of information to arrive. Well, 6 days later we received our case number and about 6 days after that we had all of the rest of the applications completed and all of the supporting documents uploaded to the US National Visa Center. There are still a few questions that we have sent off to the attorney but we are very thankful to see some progress. We don’t know when the green card process will be done but we are hopeful to start our home assignment after school gets out in late May.
Of course now that it looks like we will be able to come to the States we need to start planning for where we will live, what we will drive, and a host of other details that we haven’t bothered thinking about for the last 1 1/2 years. The Lord provided for us before and we can trust Him to do it again. Please be praying for us as we start looking into what God has for us.
Thanks for praying,
Eric and Judith, Stephen, Daniel and Timothy

A Trip to Malaumanda
This last Monday Judith and I were able to travel to Malaumanda for 2 nights. We have a work team coming from Judith’s church in BC that is coming in March and we wanted to get in to Malaumanda to make sure that the house is in order and that we have the necessary materials in place in order to facilitate the team as they build a teacher’s office. We were able to clean up the house, fix the solar system and swap out the battery for the HF radio as well as get all of the materials identified for the project.
In addition to this we had an excellent time with the church in there. One of the new believers from the Minini outreach by the name of Matthew was there and I had a great conversation with him and Jim. It was so refreshing to listen to a new believer as he explained all that Jesus has done for him. Matthew’s enthusiasm has had a positive impact on the church in Malaumanda as well. They have just started having a fellowship time at different believer’s houses to share a meal, open the Word, and spend some time in prayer. Doesn’t that sound just like Acts 2?
Prayer Requests
- Praise that we are able to be in PNG and have opportunities to serve the church planting effort here.
- Praise that the first application for Judith’s green card was approved. Pray for the next application process.
- Pray for the green card to be done soon so that we can start making plans for our trip back to the US and our home assignment travels. In this regard we will need to figure out housing and a vehicle.
- Pray for Stephen as he is in North Carolina at the Wycliffe/JAARS center learning about how turbine engines work.
- Pray for Daniel as he continues his studies at Bible school. Pray also that he can find a job.
- Pray for the continuing teaching of the new church in Minini. You can also continue praying for me as I work on Revelation lessons and work to get 1 Corinthians and Ephesians lessons cleaned up and ready for Jim and the other teachers to take up to Minini.
