This month has been an unusual one for us. Judith and I have been on two sides of the world and involved in very different activities. She has been with Timothy in the PNG coastal town of Madang and helping with a college age missions program that introduces these students to tribal church planting. She has thoroughly enjoyed her time there though it is hard to not be doing it together. Texting and an occasional phone call is a poor substitute for daily in person conversation.

Daniel and I have been on the road quite a bit. That being said we have had many opportunities to sit down and talk with people from various different locations. We spent time up in Spokane with Stephen, various people from his church there and other friends of his. We also were able to go up to BC and spend time with Judith’s family and church family there. It was a bit strange to be up there without Judith as this was the first time this has happened. It was good to get caught up with them.  The rest of our time has been in Dallas, Oregon.

I am happy to say that our time of separation is just about done. In just over a week I will be saying good bye to Daniel and leave to begin my journey back to PNG. Please be praying for this time of saying good bye. It is God’s will for our lives and for Daniel’s life but brutally tough all at the same time. I said good bye to Stephen just the other day.

Next week Judith and Timothy will be flying back to Lapilo and settling back in there again. Pray for them as they finish up their ministry roles there. Once we are all back again we will once again search for the balance between ministry at Lapilo and in the bush.

Judith in her element. She cooked all sorts of things to help feed the 32 students plus program staff.
I was able to go with Stephen on one of his training flights. It was a great time.
Daniel and I with my parents in Oregon.

Prayer and Praise

  • Praise that we are healthy and doing well in the various locations where God has us.
  • Pray for Eric as he finishes up his time with Daniel there in the States. There are still a few more people to see and logistics to work through so thanks for praying.
  • Pray for Judith as she finishes up with the Interface program and heads back to Lapilo.
  • Pray for Judith’s green card application. The first part should be done in 7 months.
  • Pray for Stephen as he is in the midst of working through some problems with his vehicle. His old vehicle has an engine problem. He just found a similar vehicle so please pray that there will not be any major issues that need to be addressed. This has been a hard thing for us as our budget is limited. Pray also for Stephen as he will be starting back up with his 4th year at Moody Aviation on July 7th. This is a long difficult flight program so pray that he can keep pace.
  • Praise for the opportunities that we have had to meet with people in various churches. It isn’t a home assignment, and Judith isn’t here but we still have had some good conversations with several people.
  • Pray for the Malaumanda outreach to Minini as they should be just about done teaching through the book of Acts.
  • Pray for Daniel as he will be working this summer in Oregon, will be in a friend’s wedding in Missouri in July and then moving to Waukesha for Bible school in August. Praise that he is doing well driving. Hopefully he can get his license sometime this summer.
  • Pray for grace and provision for our ministry in PNG. We have many opportunities to serve but don’t have the time and/or finances to do it all. Pray for wisdom as we figure out what we should do each day.
